Monterrey Braces for Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival with Multiple Airlines

Next weekend, Monterrey will welcome thousands of young music enthusiasts for the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival. Since 2017, Viva Aerobus has proudly held the title of official airline.

Economic Impact

Bernardo Bichara, President of Parque Fundidora’s Board of Directors, estimates that visitors will generate an economic impact of approximately 2 billion pesos. He describes it as “the most important tourism event in Nuevo León, attracting attendees from across the country and beyond.”

Airline Competition

In March, Monterrey witnessed an unprecedented creative clash between Viva and Volaris. Both airlines aimed to attract festival-goers through promotional discounts and direct booking on their official platforms.

  • Volaris: Posted large billboards in Monterrey, highlighting early March discounts and inviting reservations on Volaris.com.
  • Viva Aerobus: Maintained its market presence and offered unique travel experiences, including podcasts like “Oso Trava.”

Additional Airlines Involved

Aeromexico aims to maintain its punctuality standards in Monterrey, a key operational hub. They will bring national and international groups directly to the festival via various routes.

Mexicana de Aviación, capitalizing on its AIFA-Monterrey route, promoted low-cost travel options without using the festival’s branding.

Ground Transportation

Despite the airline options, many fans will still opt for bus travel to share their experiences on social media.

Celebration of Experiences

The festival brings together tourism, aviation, music, gastronomy, and hospitality, reminding us to live and enjoy the present moment.
