Mexican Bolsas Operan con Ligeras Ganancias Antes de los Aranceles de EU
Mexico’s stock market is showing moderate gains in the morning of this Tuesday, following two consecutive sessions with losses. This comes as the market adjusts positions ahead of the US tariffs.
The leading index, S&P/BMV IPC, from the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV), which groups the most traded local stocks, was up by 0.21% to 52,742.14 points.
FTSE BIVA, from the Bolsa Institucional de Valores (Biva), was also up by 0.27%, at 1,065.43 units.

Within the reference index, mixed behaviors are observed. Shares of mining company Grupo México led the advances with 1.84% at 104.20 pesos, followed by those of Gruma with 1.27% at 374.23. At the same time, Grupo Carso led the declines, down by 1.88% to 118.01.
Investors are awaiting Liberation Day, where US President Donald Trump is expected to reveal details of the reciprocal tariffs on its main trade partners, set for tomorrow. In the two preceding sessions, the market dropped by 1.86%.
