Querétaro, Qro. Ahead of the construction start of the Mexico-Queretaro Train, the Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles de Querétaro (CICQ) issued a statement outlining technical considerations for the project.
Through its Transportation Roads Commission, the colegiate organization highlighted that this initiative represents a historic opportunity to transform regional mobility. Therefore, it urged adherence to stringent standards in technical, environmental, and social matters.
The CICQ also requested active participation throughout the project’s development phases, offering supervision, evaluation, and technical expertise contributions.

According to the Mexican government, construction is set to begin in the first week of April. Meanwhile, demand studies, surveys, and initial information deliveries are ongoing. Additionally, environmental impact consultations with citizens are underway, and technical topographic studies are nearing completion.
